The Ogre is back! The big man himself will be making an appearance, along with entertainment and characters from the story of the Sea Swallow!
The Ogre is one of the central characters in the story of the Sea Swallow. It encompasses Cleveleys Mythic Coast with a tale of fact and folklore and our heroine Mary! See the story in pieces of giant public art along Cleveleys seafront and beach.
Mythic Coast Day
Saturday 9 May from 10.30am to 4pm
This event will take place at Princess Road Event Space and at Victoria Road West between Peacocks and Poundland.
Take part in the craft workshop and make your own pennant flag to take home!
Meet the Petrified Forest with appearances throughout the day.
If it’s too wet and/or windy to hold the event outdoors it will be cancelled. Please keep an eye on the Care for Cleveleys Facebook Group for updates.

Come along and enjoy a whole load of community fun!
- 10.30am – Cleveleys Shanty Group open the event with songs and entertainment
- 10.30-3pm – Flag making workshop
- 11.30am – Meet the Ogre and the trees at Princess Road
- 3pm – Bring your flag and join the Ogre and friends from the Sea Swallow story for a parade to Victoria Road West, for selfies and photos!
It’s another event organised by The Town Centre Group and Care for Cleveleys volunteers. Enjoy activities and entertainment throughout the day at Victoria Road West with fun for all the family.
