Volunteer with Care for Cleveleys

Looking for a new purpose, new friends and somewhere to belong?

Come along and volunteer with Care for Cleveleys – you’ll get such a lot out of it. Doing something worthwhile and giving back to your community is a great way to make friends, fill your time and get a more interesting life. It’s not all work – everything is done with fun and humour and there’s plenty of enjoyment too! Some tasks are done at your own leisure – like lone-litterpicking and watering the planters in summer. Others are group activities – and always involve coffee!

There really is a place for everyone. Whatever your skill-set or however much you want to get involved. Whether you’re as fit-as-a-fiddle or creak like an old gate! We can promise you new friends, a place to belong and plenty of laughter.

Come Along

Come along to a monthly event. Monthly meet-ups are on Tuesday afternoons at the Shop, where we discuss, plot and plan. The monthly community clean-up is also on Tuesday mornings on alternate fortnights. Dates from the Shop or our website/Facebook group.

Once you’ve registered your interest, there are lots of ways to help.

  • Join the watering team and help to keep the plants thriving. It’s a seasonal job, at a time to suit you. Collect water from the Shop.
  • Become a lone-litter picker – borrow equipment and collect at a time to suit yourself
  • Volunteer in the Shop – join the pool of volunteers who work on the counter
  • Come to Thursday maintenance / DIY sessions – join the team who make, mend and invent to keep things running!
  • Join C4C Sea Shanties – who sing and perform at our events
  • Help with admin, organisation and paperwork, planning events
  • Are you crafty? Do you like to make things?
  • Come along to Monday knitting & crochet crafts
  • Come along to the Thursday crafts group (fortnightly)
  • Or make things at home that we can sell in the shop
  • There are probably other things that you’d like to do. Just get in touch for a chat – we appreciate all kinds of help!
