Newly created in 2025, Princess Road Event Space is at the heart of Cleveleys town centre. It offers a flexible, safe and widely available location for outdoor events of all kinds.

This newly pedestrianised event space is at the heart of the town. It connects Victoria Road West, the main shopping street, with main gateways to town (long stay car parks and the bus station).

- 7m wide from kerb to kerb
- 62.5m in length, from gate to gate
Access:
Easy access is available from Victoria Road West and from the bus station. With a lockable steel gate at either end it affords a safe and flexible space for a variety of leisure uses. Vehicles can access the site to unload and set up, then move away to nearby long-stay car parks for the duration of an event.
Picnic benches are located on-site – these can be moved to suit your event layout.
Using Princess Road
Princess Road is a Lancashire County Council highways asset, upgraded into an events space by Wyre Council with UKSPF funding.
Voluntary group Care for Cleveleys is the point of contact for use of the space. It’s available for any kind of suitable leisure activity which aligns with the ambition of ‘Putting people at the heart of the town.’
In common with local authority requirements, groups and individuals using the space should have minimum £5m public liability insurance and provide a risk assessment for the activity. If yours is a small group and that sounds onerous, don’t worry, Care for Cleveleys can help you.
How to book your event at Princess Road
First of all have a look at the What’s On Guide. Search for the date that you have in mind and see whether there is already something on. If there is a booking it doesn’t mean you can’t use the space – with events of all sizes your activity might fit alongside something else.

If your event is commercial in nature (ie you will be making money from it) Care for Cleveleys will require a fee to be paid. All monies collected this way are reinvested back into the town.
