2025 dawns bright and different in Cleveleys with the first of this years events – with a new and exciting theme! First in the new Mythic Coast series, The Ogre Emerges in February 2025 with the big man himself making an appearance, along with storytelling and entertainment!
The Ogre is one of the central characters in the story of the Sea Swallow. It encompasses Cleveleys Mythic Coast with a tale of fact and folklore and our heroine Mary! See the story in pieces of giant public art along Cleveleys seafront and beach.
The Ogre Emerges!
Saturday 15 February from 11am to 3pm
All being well the weather will be kind for this early Spring event. Take part in the craft workshop outside Peacocks and make your own pennant flag then join the parade!
Led by the Ogre, hear the story of the Sea Swallow unfold outside Poundland, and meet some of the characters for the first time. There’s THREE chances for you to catch it during the day, along with stalls and family entertainment. This event will take place in and around Victoria Road West between Peacocks and Poundland.
Plus, enjoy a chainsaw carving demonstration where a huge lump of wood will be transformed into a beautiful sea-creature themed bench!
If it’s too wet and/or windy to hold the event outdoors we will retreat inside to the Top Club. Proper name Cleveleys Working Men’s Club – the one at the top side of Derby Road car park. Many thanks to them for their generosity in hosting.
Family Fun…
There’s FREE face painting along with the craft workshop. There’s street entertainment, music and a whole lot of community fun. Come along and enjoy it!
It’s another event organised by The Town Centre Group and Care for Cleveleys volunteers. Enjoy activities and entertainment throughout the day at Victoria Road West with fun for all the family.
…and Fundraising!
