£3 per Month Fundraising Campaign
Lots of you are so very generous when it comes to helping Care for Cleveleys in their quest to make the town amazing. You help out in so many ways, with your time, skills, unwanted stuff and money.
We know that plenty of people would love to help out but can’t. Because of family and work commitments and health issues. If you’re one of these people who would love to do your bit then here’s a perfect way for you to support the work of volunteers.
Please set up a recurring £3 monthly donation through our online Ko-Fi platform*. Help us to raise money to support the physical work which is done around town. (You can, of course, donate more!)
Annual Running Costs
Like any organisation, Care for Cleveleys has various annual running costs to pay. As a properly run organisation of course we’re insured – which costs £500+ per year.
A number of volunteers are Level 2 First Aid trained – although the certification lasts for 3 years it still cost £400.
We try to cover the cost of equipment as we go along – for example Balfour Beatty recently bought new litter pickers, hoops and hi-viz vests. But as our team grows we need more of this kind of kit which also costs hundreds of pounds each time.
There are plenty of invisible costs for bits & bobs – paint brushes, paint, small tools, cable ties. Although, again, regular volunteers often end up paying for those.
Project Costs
Cleveleys had been neglected for a long time so there is much still to do. Greening up the town with plants and trees costs money. But so does compost, plant food, water butts and watering cans. And all the clobber that a gardener needs to function. Christmas lighting is a mammoth task of its own! We’ve got everything to buy and all of the infrastructure to go with it.
Ongoing fundraising is vital and really makes a big difference to what can be done.

More about Ko-Fi
*We’ve been using Ko-Fi for a long time – there are lots of different online platforms which help charities like ours to raise money.
The reason why we like this one is, most of all, because they don’t charge any fees for using it. JustGiving etc all take a slice out of your hard earned money before handing it over to the beneficiary. (PayPal isn’t quite so generous so a few pennies of card fees do get deducted!)
Ko-Fi also allows us to sell things online and have our own e-commerce shop so we don’t need to make and run an ecommerce website.
Plus which, it’s easy to use!
