Grab your boomstick, sort out your fancy-dress and fly along to Cleveleys town centre! Between 1-5pm on 21 October 2023 it’s the Halloween Themed Winter Lights Switch On!
After years without much in the way of events, we’re getting greedy in Cleveleys this year. That’s right, we’re having TWO SWITCH ONS!
As part of our Winterval Season we’re working on lighting up the town during the gloomy months of winter. We want to brighten your life when the weather is frightful so year-on-year we’ll be adding to the winter display. Christmas decorations will join them in December for a sparkling Winterval Season here in Cleveleys!
(It’s a big town and there’s a large area to cover so this will be an ongoing project. But now you can see why we’re working hard to raise money!)
Family Fun…
This is the third event organised by The Town Centre Group and this time it’s being held at the seaward end of Victoria Road West.
Between Peacocks and New Look there’ll be entertainment, stalls and fun for all the family in a spooktastic afternoon of Halloween fun! Expect some surprises too!
- Enjoy making your own lantern for the big switch on moment at the craft workshop. You can take it home when you’re done – but bring it back for the Christmas Switch On – that’s on 2 December! (Or make your lantern at home in advance)
- Plus enjoy fun and entertainment with Louby Lou – perfect for little ones and older ones alike!
- Angels Elite Kidz will be entertaining us with scenes from their upcoming Panto and dance routines.
- Take part in the Halloween Trail and receive a prize for completing it (£1 entry)
- Then towards the end of the afternoon we’ll be awarding prizes, drawing the Grand Prize Draw Raffle and even having a Monster-themed sing-along!
On the Day
Volunteers are still working on this so it could still change before the event. But here’s the proposed running order for the day:
- All afternoon: Craft stalls, fundraising stalls and Halloween Trail
- 1-4pm: Fun with Louby Lou, make-a-lantern workshop
- 2pm: Angels Elite Kidz Dance Routines
- 3pm: Angels Elite Kidz presents Aladdin
- From 4pm:
– Announce winners and present prizes for Fancy Dress
– Announce winners and present prizes for most creative lantern
– Sing-a-long-a-Halloween – song sheets provided for Time Warp and Monster Mash – get ready to join in!
– Local schoolchildren will draw the winner of the Grand Prize Draw Raffle
– Hold your lantern high while the children Switch On the Winter Lights - 5pm: event finishes

Please support the Care for Cleveleys fundraising stalls. We’re raising funds for Christmas Lights in the town and other upcoming projects.
On the day there’ll be tombolas, home-baking, a jumble stall and our own Care for Cleveleys merchandise. PLUS the new 2024 Cleveleys Calendars!
