What a lovely afternoon we had in the bus station on 7 May. Everyone who attended had a pleasant couple of hours in the sunshine, celebrating all things Cleveleys! The small community event was to Launch of the History & Mystery Trail – showcasing all the interesting things about the town. It was one of the new series of events for this year, organised by The Town Centre Group.
Launch of the History & Mystery Trail – Tues 7 May at 2.30pm
The event opened with the wonderful Manor Beach School Choir entertaining us with their happy songs. Then the Leader of Wyre Council (Cllr Michael Vincent) and Chief Executive (Rebecca Huddleston) said a few words about the work in the town. Finally Jane Littlewood, Chair of the Town Centre Group/Care for Cleveleys introduced the trail before inviting everyone to enjoy cake and refreshments.
The new History & Mystery Trail is a printed map leaflet featuring all of the interesting things to find around the town and seafront at Cleveleys. Follow the trail and explore – tick everything off as you find it!
You can also download the map – and there’s loads more information online about each of the things featured on it.
